Privacy notice
What we collect
Your email address, the consent text you agreed to with the time and form you used, and (if you create an account) your departure-city preferences and a hashed password. We never store your actual password. The network address a signup comes from is kept only as a keyed hash, for abuse prevention - we do not store raw IP addresses.
Why
To send you the weekly flight-deals newsletter you asked for and to remember your preferences. Nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
Analytics
We use PostHog, a third-party analytics service, to count page views and see which pages get visited and for how long. It stores a random identifier in your browser (a cookie and local storage), not linked to your name or email, so repeat visits count as the same visitor. It does not record sessions and does not capture what you type into forms. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, no analytics are collected. Analytics data is processed by PostHog on its servers in the United States. We do not use analytics for advertising, and nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
Your controls
The unsubscribe link works today: it removes you from the list and keeps your address on a suppression list so it cannot be re-added by anyone - not by imports, and not through the signup form. There is no self-serve way to reverse an unsubscribe yet; that arrives with email ownership confirmation at launch. Every newsletter email will have the same one-click link. Self-serve account deletion arrives with launch; until then you can email hello@fareletter.com (monitored from launch) for privacy questions and deletion requests.
Early-preview status
Fareletter is in early preview: signups are stored on the server hosting this site and no newsletter email has been sent yet. Company contact details and final hosting location get added to this notice at launch.
